SAVANNAH, Ga., June 26, 2009 /www.savannahga.gov/ -- The exhibition “Interpretations in Color” explores the varied, bold and expressive uses of color. Works by nineteen artists from the Landings Art Association are exhibited and include watercolors, oils and mixed media along with furniture, photography and sculpture. The exhibition will be on display at the City of Savannah's Gallery S.P.A.C.E. July 6 through August 21.
“In brainstorming for an appropriate theme, one aspect of the member’s work that became obvious was the wide use of color,” said Carl Kotheimer. “We do not have a complete understanding of why color is so significant in the work but statements by several of the exhibitors offer some clues.”
