OUTHERN WOMEN’S SHOW HELPS GUESTS TO LIVE THEIR BEST LIVES

WHEN IT RETURNS FEBRUARY 5-7, 2010 WITH SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKERS

January 20, 2010

SAVANNAH (January 2010) — When Southern Women’s Show returns to Savannah’s International Trade & Convention Center February 5-7 2010, guests can maximize their time and money with tips on how to live their best lives from celebrity guests CouponQueeny, author Charla Muller and the beauty team from Votre Vu. The visiting personalities are just part of the features of interest to women, from fashion to health and fitness to travel to home lifestyle.

The Southern Women’s Show has created three jam-packed days filled with ideas, products, tips and expert advice to help women live their best lives right now, even with market conditions.

One of the most highly anticipated events in Savannah, the annual Southern Women’s Show, attracts thousands of local women each year with fashion shows, cooking demonstrations, beauty tips, health screenings, decorating ideas and personal growth opportunities — all tailored especially for women — as well as celebrity appearances.

            Featured guests include:

All Hail the CouponQueeny. One celebrity guest at the Southern Women’s Show isTanya Senseney, otherwise known as the “CouponQueeny”, one of the top couponing experts in the country. Between current unemployment rates and the economic climate, consumers are searching for ways to save like never before. Senseney was one of those consumers, and has become so coupon-savvy that she recently walked away with $457 worth of groceries – but only paid $45.

She’s so passionate about helping save money, she now teaches weekly sold-out seminars to help share her tips with others. "There is no job that is secure now," Tanya said. "If you can save now to prepare for later, it would be wise. Throwing coupons away is like throwing money away."

Tanya saves so much money using coupons that she has entire room in her home filled with extras that she keeps on hand for herself and her family. Learn Tanya’s top three tips to start saving during her daily presentations at the show.

Meet the Romance Expert. Featured on Oprah, the Today Show and The View, author Charla Muller chronicled a transforming year in her marriage in a book called 365 Nights - A Memoir of Intimacy. Charla’s year of intimacy has given this working mom insights into taking life in stride, making family a priority without getting fired, and figuring out how to make dinner magically appear on the table.

365 Nights: A Memoir of Intimacy is her first book. She feels incredibly fortunate to have done so and in her 40thyear, and has Charla plans to write another book.

“I wrote a book about marriage and trying to stay married and all the things that can weigh down on up when we’re trying to keep a marriage afloat.  You won’t find behind-closed-doors details.  You won’t find graphic details.  You won’t find salacious anything.  What you’ll find is a funny, sweet and very modest account about the year in the life of a regular, everyday couple who decided to mix it up a bit.  You’ll find stories about family and girlfriends.  You might connect with references to faith and family – or you might not.”

Viva La VuBAR.  Barbara Karabinas and the team from Votre Vu are taking to the fashion and entertainment stage to share skin care secrets that the French have known for years. Votre Vu is a privately held luxury skin care company offering the finest French-made formulations. All products crafted in a family-owned laboratory in France, except the beauty beverage, SnapDragon, which is manufactured in the U.S. Another new feature is “The VuBAR” by Votre Vu – complete with band of star-performing products and customized 27-foot Airstream. This swank skin care bar is a luxurious off-road experience: a taste of Votre Vu’s effective and upscale French skin care formulations and unique beauty beverage, SnapDragon. Inside, VuBAR echoes “I Dream of Jeannie’s” sultry bottle interior – with a posh, pillowed seating area and two bar pods that can accommodate up to 12 people for product sampling.

Low Country’s Top Chefs. Discover the cooking goddess within on the cooking stage, with ongoing cooking instruction from star chefs, including chefs from the Low Country’s most popular restaurants.

This year’s show also promises more than 300 exhibitors ranging from boutiques and jewelers to travel destinations and health care professionals and making it the perfect one-stop shop for on-the-go women.

While attendees are welcome to window shop, the hands-on, interactive nature of the Southern Women’s Show makes it the perfect opportunity to actually try out new products and services, consult with experts and register for prizes and giveaways. On-site health screenings including total cholesterol levels, blood pressure, bone density, glucose levels, waist circumference and body mass index.
