(Savannah, GA, February 17, 2010) Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) is hosting an antique car show as part of its 2010 Homecoming Week from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 27 in the AASU Sports Center parking lot, 11935 Abercorn Street. The show is free and the public is invited.

Homecoming festivities run February 22-27.

The car show marks Armstrong Atlantic’s celebration of its 75th anniversary in 2010. Models from 1935 through 2010 will represent each year of the university’s life. Several models outside those years include a 1909 Buick Model 10 and a 1913 Model T Ford. In all, some 90 cars, both American and foreign, will be on display.

Unlike most car shows that represent a certain slice of automobile history, the 75 Antique Cars Show celebrating AASU’s 75th anniversary will present a broad spectrum of the industry.

“This is going to be a very interesting show presenting the evolution of the automobile industry from its beginning to the current year,” said Ralph Tolman, president of the Savannah chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America, which co-sponsors the event.

Other co-sponsor organizations bringing automobiles to the show include the Dixieland Cruisers and the Landings Automobile Society.
