Labor Day on the beach or with craft beer

TYBEE ISLAND - Enjoy the ocean breezes, live music and fireworks from the majestic Tybee Pier and Pavilion at the third annual Tybee Island Labor Day Beach Bash on Sunday, Sept. 5, from 7-10 p.m.
Free live entertainment starts ith Gary Roland and The Landsharks Band! The Landsharks have performed with Jimmy Buffett and opened for several major artists, including The Beach Boys, Patti Labelle, Three Dog Night and Inner Circle.
After performing with them Buffett said, "The Landsharks are showmen. They're fun. They're a fun band," and "Funny thing was, The Landsharks knew the songs better than I did. And I love some of their arrangements."

Spectacular fireworks under the stars start at 9:15 p.m. or at dark followed by more music until 10 p.m. Most nearby bars and restaurants will be open throughout the event to purchase food and refreshments.

Another event in Savannah over the Labor Day Weekend is the Savannah Craft Brew Fest:

Craft Brew and Food Pairing Dinner, Friday, Sept. 3
Enjoy the tastes of the Lowcountry while sampling craft brews that have been chosen to enhance the flavor. This event will feature live entertainment, the best of Southern cuisine and craft brews from Highland Brewing Company.
Location: The Esplanade - Savannah International Trade & Convention Center
Time: 6 p.m.
Cost: Tickets are $50

Craft Brew Grand Tasting, Saturday, Sept. 4
Overlooking the Savannah River and beautiful Historic Savannah, this outdoor event will feature more than 130 different craft brews, live entertainment, delicious food and souvenirs for sale.
Location: The Esplanade - Savannah International Trade & Convention Center
Time: Noon-6 p.m.
Cost: Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door
